NVIDIA Investigating Black Screen Issues with WHQL drivers 572.xx

NVIDIA is currently looking into a black screen issue affecting systems running GeForce RTX 30 Series and newer GPUs. Reports of the problem began surfacing after the release of WHQL drivers 572.xx, the first dedicated drivers for the RTX 50 Series.

What's Causing the Black Screen Issue?

The issue doesn't seem to be exclusive to the new RTX 50 Series GPUs. Users with RTX 30 and RTX 40 Series cards have also reported random black screens, crashes, and system freezes, often resulting in a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD).

For RTX 30 and 40 Series users, a potential fix is rolling back to an older driver version. However, for RTX 50 Series owners, there are no previous drivers available, meaning the only solution will have to come from NVIDIA's driver update.
