Google Gemini Now Remembers Past Conversations for a Smarter Chat Experience

Google has just made chatting with its Gemini AI a whole lot smoother. The AI chatbot can now remember past conversations and use that information in future responses, so you won't have to keep repeating yourself every time you chat. Plus, Gemini will clearly indicate when it's referencing previous discussions.

Who Gets This Feature First?

For now, only English-speaking users subscribed to Gemini Advanced via the Google One AI Premium Plan can access this memory feature. It's available on both the Gemini web and mobile apps, but it comes at a cost—RM97.99 per month.

Google has confirmed that support for more languages is coming soon, and there are also plans to expand this feature to enterprise accounts.

The Bigger Trend: AI with Memory

Memory features seem to be the next big step in improving AI chatbots. Google previously introduced a general memory function in Gemini, allowing it to remember user preferences and details. Now, by letting Gemini recall past chats, Google is taking AI personalization even further.

With this new ability, Gemini is moving closer to becoming a more intuitive and context-aware assistant—one that actually remembers what you've said before.
