Device2Cash - New Touch & Go Feature

Touch 'n Go (TnG) has introduced a new "Device2Cash" feature in its eWallet, enabling users to trade in unwanted items directly via the app. This service can be accessed under the Shopping tab on the All Services page. As stated on its About page, the feature is the result of a partnership between TnG and the local company, Gadget Flow Sdn Bhd.

Device2Cash functions almost similarly to Carousell's in-app InstantBuy feature, where users can select the item that they wish to sell from a list of eligible devices. One notable difference is that, instead of cash, payments for sold items are deposited to the user's TnG eWallet balance. Every item is displayed with an estimated value, which may vary after assessment. After selecting a device to sell, users must specify its specifications, current condition, and IMEI number. The feature then prompts users to enter their address and choose a preferred appointment time for device collection.

According to the service's terms and conditions, device inspections are not conducted on-site, meaning it may take some time for Gadget Flow to determine the final trade-in value. If you disagree with the quoted price, your item will be returned to the same address within seven working days via local courier GDEX. However, if you accept the offer, the payment will be credited to your TnG eWallet balance within seven working days after confirmation. The new Device2Cash feature appears to be a convenient option for those looking to trade in older devices for some extra cash. However, keep in mind that the final offer may differ from the initial estimate, so it's best to set realistic expectations when using this service.
