PlayStation Plus Subscription Prices Set to Increase Starting 16 April

Sony is preparing to roll out a new round of PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) price adjustments, with changes taking effect on 16 April 2025, as announced on the PlayStation Blog. This comes several months after the last price revision in September 2023.

New Monthly Rates

Beginning next week, the monthly subscription fees for the three PS Plus tiers will increase as follows:

Essential: From RM32 to RM35

Extra: From RM49 to RM55

Deluxe: From RM55 to RM65

Revised 3-Month Plans

The three-month pricing is also being updated:

Essential: From RM75 to RM95

Extra: From RM125 to RM155

Deluxe: From RM145 to RM185

Annual Subscription Hikes

The biggest jump will be seen in the 12-month plans:

Essential: From RM235 to RM285

Extra: From RM400 to RM490

Deluxe: From RM460 to RM575

When Will the New Rates Apply to You?

If you're already subscribed to PS Plus, there's no immediate impact. The updated pricing will only take effect during your next renewal cycle, starting from 24 June 2025.

However, if you're not currently subscribed—or if you make any changes to your plan after 16 April (like extending, upgrading, or downgrading)—you'll be charged at the new rates immediately.
